The space itself was nice. The construction made it hard to find parking and almost got hit by a car walking around the construction. Bathrooms were ok. Rooms were nice though. Didn't include breakfast like the guesthouses we stayed in so it wasn't that much of a deal compared to the rest of our stays.
Stayed here with my son for 3 nights. Its not the nicest part of Reykjavik because theres a lot of building work happening there, but the old town isn't far. The rooms are spacious and clean, I shared a twin room with my son. There are plenty of showers that are kept clean, a communal kitchen, and a nice bar downstairs. Lots of youngish people passing through, chilled vibe. We had a great stay. Would definitely recommend it.
Three things that never stop to amaze me from hostels. 1.- beds that sound. People roll, people move, how hard is it to make beds that are tight ? Like this is their business, you imagine a runner that hurts when running, a toilet with no water? Idk a dragon with no fire 😅. Now imagine a hostel with noisy beds, wth? 2.- loud doors, is a hostel, so people come in and out at different times. Make glthe doors close quietly 🤷. Have you try rubbed on the frames ? Or anything at all? 3.- snorers, the hostel can't change that, but how about offering some solutions ? Do you sell earplugs? Put them together to sleep bas among themselves! Hahaha just kidding but is it really the best option to just be like yes you will randomly all have a shitty night and hate one of the members in your room? Can hostels show a bit of simpathy for this ? The receptionist was kind and tried helping. I just don't think a review should be based on staff but the system around it unless they are outstanding for good or bad :)
