Very beautiful area, with many exotic places to experience, like caves, vulcanoes, glaciers, forests and hot springs. There are many great swimming pools in the area, good hotels, b&b, museums, restaurants and of course great horseback riding places! Borgarfjörður is kind of a hidden pearl, and many times less clouded than other popular parts of Iceland. In the winter this is a great area to spot northern lights, because of the lack of "light pollution" 💫
