This tour was the highlight of our trip to Iceland! Our tour consisted of visiting 3 caves and a walk on the glacier to get to each cave. We visited different caves: a black cave, a clear/blue cave, and a blue cave. The caves were were absolutely breathtaking. There was no other groups at the caves when we visited so we were able to freely roam around the caves to explore and take pictures. This company only has group sizes of 6, and it felt like a private tour because we were able to ask questions and converse with the tour guide as we pleased. On our way back we saw a line up of 30-50 people just waiting to enter the "famous" cave. In my opinion, the caves we visited were much more beautiful and it was nice being able to not be all packed in to a single cave with hundreds of other people. This tour was a bang for our buck, as we got to have a small group experience, walk on the glacier, visited 3 different types of ice caves, and were able to privately explore them. Each of the caves were a short walk from another, so people of all fitness levels can do this activity. Boggi our tour guide was the best person we met in Iceland. He was so passionate about his career and country, knowledgeable, and friendly. He taught as a lot about the glaciers, caves, and Iceland as a country. Thank you Boggi for such a fantastic time! ❤️
Highlight of our trip to Iceland! We loved our tour with Boggie, visited two gorgeous ice caves completely alone with no other companies bothering our experience (which was amazing). Boggie was very kind to wait for us as we were late thinking we booked another time slot. Plus, you get to ride right next to the caves which is great for people not comfortable walking 2-3 km on the glacier. Highly recommend the tour, it's a must if you visit Iceland in winter months.
This is THE tour!! Hands down! My boyfriend and I had such a wonderful time exploring the ice caves. We were very lucky to be visiting on a sunny day, so the ice just shined inside. The cave was really fun to explore, and the people we were with were so cool and we ended up seeing them a lot throughout our trip and it was like having another group of friends on vacay with us. Boggi is an excellent guide, sooo friendly and funny, and very informative and passionate about what he does. He's an independent tour guide and runs his tours when other groups aren't, meaning you get more private time in the caves than any other tour group! Plus he only take 6 people at a time, meaning an even more intimate experience. His safety equipment includes an easy to use headlamp so you don't have to worry about carrying around a flashlight while you explore. And he takes photos and offers great advice on how to take photos while in the cave. Truly one of the most memorable experiences from our trip and one we would happily do again! HUGE TIP!
