Decent campsite! The kitchen has a stove and that’s it. There are a few pots etc, but better bring your own. The common room is really big! Everything communal is sort of on the basement of the building, a bit run down but it works. For each bathroom (male and female) there’s only one toilet and one big communal shower room with more than one shower. You can still lock the door and have the whole shower to yourself if you wanted to.
This campsite is located in an old public building with its own history. From the parking area, there’s direct access to male, female, and disabled toilets, where you can brush your teeth, shave, or take care of personal routines. Near the main entrance, there’s a payment point for parking. Downstairs, you’ll find a kitchen area for cooking and washing dishes, along with a large dining area. In front of the male bathroom are two open showers and one private toilet, with the same setup for women on the opposite side of the corridor. To be honest, the downstairs area was quite dirty—pretty much everywhere. The only part that felt clean was the upper floor, where the toilets are located. Outside, in the parking lot, there are electrical outlets for camper vans (though I’m not sure how many). Overall, the place wasn’t as bad as some reviews suggested, but cleanliness could definitely be improved. I’d rate it 7/10.
The common room wasn’t very inviting to sit and relax in but is was very spacious. The showers could have been cleaner, and there are only two showers per gender, without individual booths. The campsite is quite open, so it can get a bit windy at times. The facilities were generally sufficient, though we didn’t get to see all of them due to the café’s limited opening hours. The kitchen was small but well-equipped, and it was nice that you could borrow kitchen items — even an oven was available. Overall, the price was good for what was offered.
Sælukotið Árblik Campsite offers a range of facilities including clean restrooms, hot showers, a communal kitchen, and Wi-Fi access to ensure a comfortable stay for all campers.
Yes, Sælukotið Árblik is pet-friendly. Visitors are welcome to bring their pets as long as they are kept on a leash and cleaned up after.
