Tjaldsvæðið Myllulækur

Great campsite!! Breath taking views at the bottom of a mountain. Bathrooms and showers VERY clean. You have to pay 100isk per minute for the showers but the water is perfectly hot. They don’t use geothermal to heat the water so it doesn’t smell either. They have a dish washing area, 4 showers and about 7 toilets. Would definitely come again.

A quiet campsite in a really scenic location about a 20 minute drive from Höfn. Plenty of camper spaces-nice clean toilet and shower facilites-though you do pay 100 kr per minute as the usual custom in Iceland. The coins you can get at reception. The lady was very friendly. There is free WiFi as well if you need it and 2 sinks to wash your dishes in and a few picnic tables and chairs to sit on. I don’t think there are any cooking facilities available. They have electric outlets if needed. Price was 2200 per person.

Basic facilities, toilets, paid shower and sitting area. Everything is very clean. Compared to other campsites with the same price (or even lower), the value for money here is low. The paid shower had warm water (but not hot). At least we could wash dishes with warm water. We came here despite the bad reviews because location wise it suited us most.
