Good venue. Good sound and seating options. When sitting up top, it is possible to have lights shine directly in your eyes, which can be very annoying depending on the lighting design of the show.
Gamla Bíó is a great venue for live entertainment, with friendly staff and an amazing liver music/performance hall with an upper balcony level. I've had the pleasure of being there for several work events, and a couple of themed parties, including a super fun '30s night. While the bar area in the lobby is pretty small and can feel a bit claustrophobic if its very full, the rest of the venue is amazing once it opens up, and is always super clean and well presented.
Probbly the niceset live music venue in the city at the time of this writing. The venue has been around for a while and was ambitiously rennovated a few years back. The hall sounds great. The venue is not very busy but if visiting the town and something's happening in this place it might be a good idea to visit.
