What other travelers are saying about

Grenivík Camping Site

Not too crowded, clean and tidy toilets (2x) and shower (1x, free), and good WiFi. Excellent views. Friendly staff at the swimming pool. No indoor kitchen/living. Good quality for an Icelandic campsite.

One of our favorite camping spots in Iceland! It was quiet/peaceful, clean, great views, and the bathrooms weren’t stalls for once so you could do your business in private (and stocked with paper towels/toilet paper). It was also one of the cheaper places we’ve stayed at 1560kr/person; shower included in price (I swear everywhere has raised their prices exorbitantly)- you pay in the pool house with credit card. As others have mentioned, there’s 3 bathrooms with the one on the far left having a shower; there’s electrical outlets in them too. We got in late so can’t attest to the wifi but they do have it- you have to get it from the pool area ahead of time. There’s also a plate washing station on the backside of the bathrooms where the trash goes too. We ended up leaving a soap bottle there for others to use since we had an extra one but plan on bringing everything yourself. No kitchen so make sure you have your stove with you or food you don’t need to heat up. If I could change anything, I wish there was one more shower and a kitchen area (even just an outdoor burner).

Calme and cute place, not suitable if you arrive out of office hours. You can’t pay, or have access to shower (the one for the camping was OOO)/ WiFi, which is quite a problem when you travel in June, as everyone arrive around 10pm to midnight. During day, you can have access to a nice warm pool and hot showers inside. It’s also really cheap which is a big plus !
