We stayed for one night and really enjoyed it! The camping was really quiet, only two campers and two cars. We used the hot tub and heated pool (you pay extra) and that was great after a day spent exploring and driving. They are both open until 10 pm. They have a washer and a dryer as well so we did our laundry. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but the pizzas looked amazing. We recommend stopping here if you want to relax for the night :)
All and all an OK camp. Clean, nice common kitchen area with stoves and tools, several toilets. Nice view. We took down a star as there was an extra payment for showers (500ISK) and laundry service is expensive compared to other camps we visited (800ISK per washer and 800ISK per dryer). There is a heated pool, entrance fee includes the shower as well (around 1500ISK per person, we didn’t use it so I don’t remember exactly).
Overall a good experience — stayed 1 night. Kitchen is small, so cooking and dishwashing can get cramped. Toilets were very clean, the site is open and spacious, with plenty of plugs. Staff come to collect payment or you can pay at the reception/restaurant (open until 10:00pm). Downsides: Showers are inside the restaurant and unavailable from 10:00pm–10:00am. They’re paid (500 ISK/person) and awkwardly close together — just 2 feet apart with no privacy. Photos of the shower room attached.
