Hraunborgir is a campsite and leisure area in Grímsnes, South Iceland, on the Golden Circle about an hour's drive from Reykjavík. Its postal address is 805 Selfoss, and it sits close to Kerið crater, which is only a few kilometres away, making it a practical base for Þingvellir, Geysir and Gullfoss.

The site is set up for families as much as for a single night's stop. Pitches come with electrical hook-ups and parking, and the service area includes a warm swimming pool, hot tubs and a sauna, a washing machine and dryer, a small shop for essentials, a restaurant serving homemade pizzas and a bar. Children have a playground with a trampoline, zip line and swings, a playroom, and basketball and football areas. Two golf courses, Hraunborgir Golf Club and Kiðjaberg, are next door, and a round at Hraunborgir costs 3,500 ISK.

The 2026 prices are 3,500 ISK per night for adults aged 14 and over, 1,750 ISK for children aged 7 to 14, and free for children aged 6 and under. Electricity costs 1,800 ISK per night, and the accommodation tax adds 400 ISK per unit per night. Pitches are booked online through Parka or Booking, and groups can arrange stays by email.

The campsite season runs from 1 May to 14 September. Outside that period the site rents out winter pitches for caravans on a seasonal basis, but it does not operate as a regular campsite. For questions, the campsite can be reached on 661 7000.
