Patreksfjörður Swimming Pool is the outdoor pool at the Brattahlíð sports centre in Patreksfjörður, the largest village in the southern Westfjords. It is run by the municipality of Vesturbyggð and sits on Aðalstræti, the main street along the fjord, with a gym and sports hall in the same building.
The pool is 16.7 metres long, with two hot tubs, a wading pool for small children and a sauna. There is a sunbathing area, and the view from the pool across Patreksfjörður to the mountains on the far shore is one of the best of any village pool in the region.
Patreksfjörður is the usual overnight base for visiting Látrabjarg bird cliffs and Rauðasandur beach, both reached by gravel roads from the village, so the pool is a practical place to warm up after a cold, windy day on the cliffs. The village campsite is nearby, and Tálknafjörður's pool is in the next fjord north.
Summer hours (1 June to 31 August) are 08:00–21:30 Monday to Thursday, 09:00–20:30 on Fridays and 10:00–18:00 at weekends. In winter (1 September to 31 May) the pool opens 08:00–21:00 Monday to Thursday, 08:00–19:30 on Fridays and 10:00–15:00 at weekends. Ticket sales end 40 minutes before closing and swimmers are asked out of the water 15 minutes before closing.
The 2026 adult single entry is 1,378 ISK, seniors and disabled visitors pay 689 ISK, and children and teenagers up to 18 swim free. A ten-visit card costs 8,747 ISK. A shower without swimming costs 667 ISK, which is useful for campers, and towels and swimsuits can be rented for 994 ISK each.
