Selárdalur Swimming Pool stands beside the Selá in Selárdalur, 12 kilometres from Vopnafjörður and 3.5 kilometres from Route 85. It has an outdoor pool, a large hot tub, a children’s pool, picnic area and sun deck. The municipality describes good access for people with reduced mobility. School swimming takes place during autumn and spring.
Summer hours from 1 June to 31 August are Monday–Friday 10:00–22:00 and weekends 10:00–18:00. Winter hours from 1 September to 31 May are Monday–Friday 14:00–19:00 and weekends 12:00–18:00. The 2026 tariff lists 1,100 ISK for ages 16–66 and 400 ISK for ages 0–16, so the published bands overlap at age 16; confirm that age’s rate directly. Free entry for eligible children, pensioners and disability-pension recipients is limited to local residents.
