About Vesturbæjarlaug

Vesturbæjarlaug at Hofsvallagata is Reykjavík’s neighbourhood pool in Vesturbær. It has a 25-metre pool, children’s pool, five hot tubs, cold tub, steam room, two saunas, a large infrared sauna and a children’s water slide. A double hot tub was added in 2014, and sauna additions date from 2025.

It is open weekdays 06:30–22:00 and weekends 09:00–22:00. The 2026 tariff effective 5 May lists adult entry at 1,500 ISK, free entry for ages 0–9 with an adult and 400 ISK for ages 10–17. The steam room closes Fridays 13:00–15:00 for deep cleaning. Accessible changing rooms, accessible toilets and walkers are available; check direct guidance for routes and lifts. The large infrared sauna is listed separately. Public-holiday and temporary updates may differ from ordinary hours.
