Quaint campground away from the hustle. The campground host came around at 9pm to collect payment (we paid with cash). The bathrooms were clean and the playground was fun. Highly recommend staying here if you want a spacious camping experience.
Maybe more of a local thing? Apparently fully booked despite there being plenty of room. No option to book in advance that we saw. Campsite looked small and there aren’t showers The Hella campground isn’t really any different and at least has plenty of room. I wouldn’t go out of your way to come here
Off the beaten path, minimalist, very quintessential Icelandic campsite. This is a quiet, no frills campsite. *No hot water, no showers!* Know this ahead of time. It is very basic and lovely. Spacious parking and options for electrical hookup if you need it. *Clean* bathrooms, clean utility sinks and drinking water hose. Cute area to walk around, lots of horses right down the road. Jumping mat to use. Lovely woman who will come collect your fee, you can pay with card.
