Day-by-day itinerary

A starting point, not a fixed route — request the full itinerary and we adjust it to your dates and pace.

  1. Day 1: The Golden Circle Adventure

We begin our journey from Reykjavík around 8:00 AM and head toward the famous Golden Circle — a route filled with geothermal wonders, historic sites, and scenic views.

    Geysir Hot Springs Area

Our first stop brings you to the Geysir geothermal field. Watch Strokkur erupt dramatically every few minutes, sending hot water high into the air. Surrounding the geyser are bubbling pools and colorful mineral deposits — a perfect glimpse into Iceland’s volcanic power.

    Gullfoss – The Golden Falls

Next, we visit the mighty Gullfoss waterfall, where glacial water plunges into a deep canyon. On sunny days, you can often see rainbows arching across the mist — a spectacular photo opportunity.

    Thingvellir National Park

Our final stop of the day is Thingvellir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates drift apart, forming deep rifts and dramatic cliffs. The park is also a place of great cultural importance, as Iceland’s first parliament was founded here in 930 AD.

Overnight Stay: Comfortable 3-star hotel with private bathrooms and breakfast included (commonly Hotel Hvolsvöllur).

  2. Day 2: Waterfalls and Glacier Adventure

After breakfast, we continue along Iceland’s South Coast, famous for its waterfalls, glaciers, and dramatic coastal scenery.

    Seljalandsfoss Waterfall

Our day starts with Seljalandsfoss, one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls. You can walk behind the curtain of water for a completely unique experience — just remember your raincoat!

    Skógafoss Waterfall

A short drive away lies Skógafoss, a wide and powerful waterfall surrounded by lush green cliffs. Climb the nearby staircase for panoramic views from above and feel the refreshing spray from below.

Glacier Hike at Sólheimajökull or Skaftafell

In the afternoon, we gear up with helmets and crampons for an unforgettable glacier hike. Step onto ancient ice, explore blue crevasses, and learn about Iceland’s glacial landscapes from your certified guide.

Overnight Stay: Accommodation in the southeast area near Vatnajökull National Park.

  3. Day 3: Glacier Lagoon & Black Sand Beach

Our final day takes us deeper into Iceland’s icy wilderness before heading back toward Reykjavík.

    Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon

We visit the spectacular Glacier Lagoon, where huge icebergs drift peacefully in a deep blue lake. It’s one of Iceland’s most breathtaking natural sights.

    Boat Ride on the Lagoon

Take a guided boat tour to get close to the icebergs and learn about their slow journey from the glacier to the sea — a true once-in-a-lifetime experience.

    Diamond Beach

Across the road from the lagoon lies Diamond Beach, where glistening pieces of ice wash ashore on black volcanic sand, sparkling like gems in the sunlight.

    Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach

On our return journey, we stop at Reynisfjara, famous for its dramatic basalt columns, sea stacks, and roaring Atlantic waves. Keep an eye out for puffins during the summer months!

Return to Reykjavík: We arrive back around 8:00 PM (subject to weather and road conditions).
