Brasserie Kársnes is a family-run restaurant in Kópavogur, just a short drive from Reykjavík, with a warm story behind it. The owner had dreamed for years of opening a restaurant and found the perfect spot on the Kársnes peninsula. What was first planned as a small, cozy place grew into a lively and inviting space with seating for up to 70 guests. The whole family works together to create a friendly atmosphere where visitors feel welcome from the moment they arrive.
The menu is inspired by fresh Icelandic ingredients, featuring fish and seafood from local fishermen, tender Icelandic lamb, and flavorful vegetarian options. Large windows offer beautiful views of the harbor and mountains, making it a perfect place to enjoy both the food and the scenery. Whether it’s the midnight sun in summer or colorful sunsets in winter, the setting adds something special to every meal.
