Sælukotið Árblik is a small campsite and farm café at Miðskógur beside Route 60, about 12 kilometers south of Búðardalur in the Dalir district of West Iceland. For drivers coming over the Brattabrekka pass, it's the first place on the Dalir side to stop for homemade soup and coffee.
From Borgarnes it's under an hour's drive, and from Reykjavík about two hours. Because Route 60 is the main road between the Ring Road and the Westfjords, Árblik works well as a first or last night on a Westfjords trip, or as a base for the saga sites of Dalir.
The Árblik café serves soup and bread at lunch and coffee with homemade pastries through the day. It also sells products from local farms and handmade goods from the region. The Árblik campsite is small, with toilets, showers, a kitchen and electricity for campervans, plus an indoor common room that helps when the weather turns.
