Íþróttamiðstöðin í Búðardal is a combined sports and bathing centre in Búðardalur. It has a 25-metre outdoor pool, hot tubs, a wading pool, sauna and cold tub. The same building includes a multi-purpose sports hall, gym and treatment room. Dalabyggð opened the facility on 28 February 2026 near the town’s primary and pre-school.
Winter opening is Monday–Friday 07:00–21:00 and weekends and public holidays 10:00–16:00. From 1 June to 31 August, weekday hours remain 07:00–21:00 and weekend/public-holiday opening extends to 18:00. Swimmers are admitted until 30 minutes before closing. The pool closes on major public holidays. The 2026 tariff lists adult entry at 1,400 ISK, ages 10–18 at 400 ISK and ages 67+ at 700 ISK. Ten-visit, 30-visit and annual adult cards are also available.
