Overview
A four-hour tour of Víðgelmir that continues past the walkway into the boulder fields at the back of the cave, for guests aged 12 and over.
The route begins on the cave's walkway, then leaves it for boulder fields and rough ground in sections that see few visitors. A guide leads throughout, and helmet, headlamp, a warm drink and a snack are included. Bring warm clothes, gloves, a hat with a brim and a small backpack, and arrive 15 minutes before departure. Guests make their own way to the cave and meet the guide there; no transport is included.
The operator rates the tour 3 out of 5 for difficulty; the ground beyond the walkway is uneven, and children under 12 cannot take part.
