Overview

A full-day Reykjavík adventure combining a three-hour whale-watching cruise with guided rafting in the Hvítá river’s Gullfoss Canyon.

Start with Classic Whale Watching in Faxaflói Bay, then transfer inland for a guided run through the Hvítá river’s Gullfoss Canyon. The active day includes transport, rafting equipment and time at the base camp.

Departure, route and access may change with weather, natural conditions and the captain or guide’s safety decisions. Check availability for your travel date when booking.

  1. Start

    Pickup in Reykjavík

    Meet the guide at your confirmed Reykjavík pickup point. Follow the pickup time and location on your booking voucher.

  2. Whale watching from Reykjavík Old Harbour

    Join the morning whale-watching cruise and return to the Old Harbour.

  3. Transfer to Drumboddsstaðir

    Meet the rafting shuttle at Elding’s ticket office for the included journey to Drumboddsstaðir base camp.

  4. Hvítá rafting

    Raft with the guide and supplied equipment, then return to the rafting base before the included Reykjavík transfer.

  5. End

    Return to Reykjavík

    Travel back to Reykjavík for the included drop-off after the final stop. Arrival time depends on road and weather conditions.
