About Akureyri Swimming Pool
At Skólastígur 4 in Akureyri, Akureyri Swimming Pool has two 25-metre outdoor pools, a 12.5-metre indoor pool, four outdoor hot tubs, two wading pools, a cold pool and a warm indoor pool. Three waterslides, a seasonal sun deck and a seasonal artificial-grass play area are also listed.
Summer hours, from 31 May to 28 August, are Monday–Friday 06:45–21:00, Saturday 08:00–21:00 and Sunday 08:00–19:30. From 29 August to 30 May, weekday hours remain 06:45–21:00 and weekends are 09:00–19:00. Adult admission is 1,400 ISK, while children aged 6–17 pay 310 ISK and disabled visitors enter free. Wheelchair access reaches the changing rooms, and lifts serve the indoor pool, two outdoor pools and the large 38°C tub. Check special-day opening with the facility before travelling.
