Overview
A two-hour, maximum 12-person RIB whale-watching tour from Akureyri, covering Eyjafjörður with a naturalist and certified captain.
A fast, low-profile RIB covers more of Eyjafjörður than a conventional harbour cruise and carries no more than 12 guests. The ride is active and subject to strict age, height and health rules.

Travel into Eyjafjörður with a naturalist and certified RIB captain to look for whales, dolphins and birdlife.
Return to Akureyri
The boat returns to Oddeyrarbót after about two hours on the water.

Know before you go
- Arrive at least 30 minutes before departure. Meeting point: Oddeyrarbót 2, Akureyri.
- Pickup is not available; guests must make their own way to the stated meeting point.
- Minimum age: 10.
- Activity level: Moderate.
- Minimum age 10 and minimum height 145 cm.
- Not recommended during pregnancy or for people with back or knee conditions.
- Guests must be able to use the saddle-style seats and sign the operator’s safety waiver.
- Bags cannot be taken onto the RIB; small personal items are carried at the guest’s own risk.
- Wear warm layers, weatherproof outerwear and sturdy footwear suited to conditions on the water.
- Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. If no whales or dolphins are seen, the operator offers a Classic Whale Watching return ticket under its return policy.
