Nicely located (also if you want to go for a run) and has wifi. Other then that I cannot recommend this campsite. Overpriced (5'200 ISK for 2 adults without electricity), showers and toilets are not clean (we were among the first to take a shower), there is litter lying around.
We came here because of the reviews but I personally didn't had such a good experience. It was the first time in Iceland when I didn't had hot water on the showers. It was warm and came in waves mixed with cold water. The ladies bathroom was poorly heated and it was cold. The dining room is nice but far away from the camping site and the kitchen is small. I don't want to imagine how it is when there are more people here.
This campsite was decent. The staff was friendly enough, the common room is cute and there are plenty of toilets, though flies were an issue in the common room. There are stoves, a kettle, fridge, and microwave, but no utensils or cookware. Showers (2 per gender) always had queues. The grounds are a fair walk from the common room, and campervans that kept arriving past midnight (even in September) made it hard to sleep.
