What a fun experience! The glamping tent included two single beds next to each other, doonas, chairs, and most importantly, a heater. The fairy lights were a cute touch. Excellent hot water and pressure in the shower, and even the toilets were heated! My only feedback is to provide more fire pits as only one family was able to use this to cook their dinner.
This camping is 20 minutes drive on a gravel road with a lot of potholes. We saw another camper with a pinched tire. It was raining a lot and the camping was flooded. The ground felt like the walking on a sponge full of water. This is self service camping, you pay by the parking app. There is a cabin with two toilets and a separate shower cubicles with absolutely no space whatsoever. You basically enter right into shower and there is only one hanger to leave your things. There are open air sinks and a table and bench to eat on the porch if the weather permits. The views are beautiful, you can see the glaciar nearby and there are hiking routes coming straight out of camping. We woke up to sheep around the camper and idyllic atmosphere but not sure it's worth it.
This camp site is easy to find, love how remote and quiet it is. All campers were super respectful. There are 4 toilets and 2 showers, with HOT water🙏🏼 A washing up station and garbage bins. There is cold running water, not sure if it’s drinkable as no signage, but it being Iceland maybe you can assume it’s safe
