Reyðarfjörður Swimming Pool is the pool at the sports centre at Heiðarvegur 13 in Reyðarfjörður, a town in Fjarðabyggð municipality in the Eastfjords. The swimming pool is currently closed to the public; only the gym in the same building is operating. The pool had been out of action for repairs since around 2019, and Fjarðabyggð's current list of its public pools no longer includes Reyðarfjörður.
No reopening date has been announced, so do not plan a swim here. If you are staying in Reyðarfjörður, several pools in the same municipality are within a short drive, and all use the same Fjarðabyggð tariff.
The nearest is the outdoor pool in Eskifjörður, about 15 km away along the fjord, which has hot pots, a steam bath, a children's pool and three water slides. It opens all year: from 1 September to 31 May the hours are 07:00–20:00 on weekdays and 11:00–16:00 at weekends, and from 1 June to 31 August they are 07:00–21:00 on weekdays and 10:00–18:00 at weekends. Stefánslaug in Neskaupstaður, further on through the tunnels, has an outdoor pool, hot pots, a steam bath and two slides. To the south, Fáskrúðsfjörður's small indoor pool opens on weekday afternoons in winter only.
At all Fjarðabyggð pools, a single adult entry costs 1,145 ISK under the tariff in force from 1 May 2026, a ten-visit card costs 6,926 ISK, children under 16 swim free and pensioners and disabled visitors get 50% off.
