A really nice camp site next to a golf course in an amazing location a 3 minute drive from the ferry and with a beautiful walk starting from it which takes you into the harbour and back. There is also a Viking settlement on the campsite you can visit it’s open until 5pm-it doesn’t take long to visit but it’s worth seeing as the mannequins are very realistic and gives you an idea of what life was like for the Viking’s. The facilities were great-one of the best camp sites we stayed at in terms of facilities. Showers were included in the price and the kitchen facilities were great and very clean. Would have been good to have more than 2 cookers available though.
Great campground. We’ve stayed at a lot of different campgrounds around Iceland and this is the best. Nice facilities, big common room/kitchen! The camp hosts are very kind. We decided to stay two nights because we enjoyed it so much.
Very nice campsite. Offers a bunch of tenting. areas as well as a few tiny cabins. Kitchen space, WC, and showers are clean and nice. Camp host was very friendly and spoke many languages. Heard at least Icelandic, German, and English. Would be nice if there was a way to checkin without call the host. They were quick in coming over to check us in but I didn't have phone coverage to call. Was able to piggy back off of the German group who was also checking in. Beautiful views next to the golf course and short walk to town.
