ĒN is the cocktail bar in the basement of Pósthússtræti 17, the restored 1907 house that opened in full in October 2026 as three Japanese venues under one roof — the restaurant SHIRO above, the takeaway counter NO.17 at street level, and ĒN below. The bar pairs refined Japanese bar culture with Icelandic ingredients, and there is a private room for groups who want the night to themselves.

It is a drinks-first spot for the evening end of a 101 Reykjavík day — an aperitif before dinner upstairs at SHIRO or elsewhere in the quarter, or a longer sitting built around the cocktails themselves. With the capital's evening venues within a short walk of one another, it slots naturally into a night that starts or ends around Austurvöllur.
