Forréttabarinn is a small restaurant near Reykjavik’s old harbour, known for its creative dishes made from fresh Icelandic ingredients. Opened in 2011, it was founded by chef Róbert Ólafsson, who brings decades of experience from kitchens in Iceland and abroad.​

The menu focuses on starters and small plates, served in different sizes and styles, combining local produce with flavors influenced by southern Europe and Central America. There is a strong emphasis on seafood, meat, and vegetables, with several vegetarian and vegan choices available.

Guests can also try a four-course tasting menu, which offers a variety of dishes at a good value.
