KEX Port is a bistro and gastro pub in downtown Reykjavík with a menu that ranges across fish, meat, burgers and proper vegetarian and vegan options — a genuinely useful spread when one person wants local fish and another eats no meat at all. There is café and breakfast fare in the mix as well.

For a group that never orders the same thing, the mixed menu takes the negotiation out of dinner — meat-eaters and vegans settle at one table. Set near the waterfront on the eastern edge of the centre, it is an easy walk from downtown lodging and lands well as the unhurried evening meal after a day out of the city.
