NO.17 is the street-level takeaway counter of Pósthússtræti 17, the restored 1907 house that opened in full in October 2026 as three Japanese venues under one roof — the restaurant SHIRO on the floors above and the cocktail bar ĒN in the basement. The cooking is Japanese with Singaporean influences, built for eating on the move or carrying back to the room.
Central and quick, it suits the unstructured end of a downtown day — grabbed between museum mornings and tour pick-ups, or when Reykjavík's weather argues against a leisurely sit-down meal. And if the evening stretches, the rest of the house is right there: a table upstairs or a cocktail below.
