Overview
Return bus transfer from Reykjavík with admission to Hvammsvík Hot Springs, where eight geothermal pools and a steam cave sit at the ocean's edge.
The bus takes about 45 minutes each way, with pickup from several Reykjavík hotels 30 minutes before departure, and the round trip runs about four and a half hours. The pools hold a mix of geothermal water drawn from 1,400 metres underground and seawater from the Atlantic; some of them fill only at high tide. Outdoor changing facilities, showers and relaxation areas are on the estate.
The tour is for guests aged 10 and over. Swimsuits, towels and wading shoes are not provided but can be rented on site, and food and drink at the on-site bistro are charged separately.
