    Skaftafell meeting point

    Check in at the Troll Expeditions Skaftafell terminal; this is a self-drive activity without Reykjavík pickup.

  2. Equipment and safety briefing

    The certified guide fits the group with glacier equipment and explains movement, hazards and the day’s route.

  3. Walk to Falljökull

    Travel toward Falljökull and walk to the accessible glacier edge with the guide.

  4. Guided glacier hike

    Walk on the glacier with the guide to see crevasses, ridges and changing ice formations on a route chosen for current conditions.

  5. End

    Return to Skaftafell

    Visit Return to Skaftafell as part of the guided route. Timing and access can change with local conditions.
