  1. Start

    Skaftafell meeting point

    Check in at the Troll Expeditions Skaftafell terminal; this is a self-drive activity without Reykjavík pickup.

  2. Equipment and safety briefing

    The certified guide fits the group with glacier equipment and explains movement, hazards and the day’s route.

  3. Shuttle and walk to Falljökull

    Use the local transfer and approach path to reach Falljökull before stepping onto the ice.

  4. Extended glacier hike

    Spend more time on the glacier exploring ice ridges, crevasses and formations on an active route selected by the guide.

  5. End

    Return to Skaftafell

    Visit Return to Skaftafell as part of the guided route. Timing and access can change with local conditions.
