Best campsite we have encountered on our journey! The bathrooms and toilets were clean. The kitchen has all the amenities needed! The price was 4800 isk for two people with no electricity.
The campsite was very clean and well maintained, with all the basic facilities we needed. The location was truly beautiful, set among the trees, which made the atmosphere peaceful and relaxing. A great place to stay if you’re looking for both comfort and nature.
Self check-in, small and cozy campsite—northern lights included in the price 😉 The main building has good facilities: 2 shower rooms (one male, one female), each with one toilet inside and 4 open-style showers—very old-school. 4 additional toilets on the ground floor, equipped with soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. A spacious cooking and chill area on the second floor, with views of the stadium on one side and the campsite parking on the other. Everything was absolutely clean—the showers, toilets, and upstairs area. Payment is handled through the Parka website. Negatives: There were lots of river bugs flying around, which could be annoying. Also, some of the outlets in the middle of the campsite didn’t work for us (or maybe we couldn’t figure them out), but the outlets near the building worked perfectly. Overall, it’s a cozy, well-maintained campsite with a great atmosphere—I’d recommend it.
