Overview

An eight-hour day tour of North Iceland's Diamond Circle, taking in Goðafoss, Ásbyrgi, Dettifoss and the Lake Mývatn area.

The route links Goðafoss, the Ásbyrgi canyon, Dettifoss and Lake Mývatn in a single day, with a walk through the Dimmuborgir lava formations and a stop at the Hverir geothermal field and its mud pools. Guests can be collected at pick-up or meet the tour on location, and are asked to bring water, snacks and sensible shoes and clothing.

The day is graded moderate and involves walking on uneven ground. The group stops for lunch, but food is not covered by the ticket.

  5. Ásbyrgi

    Explore the canyon before continuing towards the coast.

  6. Húsavík

    Stop in the north-coast town on the return journey.
