Itinerary

Skaftafell meeting point
Check in at the Troll Expeditions Skaftafell terminal; this is a self-drive activity without Reykjavík pickup.
Equipment and transfer
Collect the supplied glacier gear, complete the safety briefing and travel toward the glacier.
Glacier hike
Hike on the glacier with a certified guide and learn how to use the supplied equipment safely.
Supervised ice climbing
Learn basic climbing technique and make supervised ascents using crampons, harness, rope and ice axes.
Return to Skaftafell
Visit Return to Skaftafell as part of the guided route. Timing and access can change with local conditions.
