Overview
A nine-hour small-group Diamond Circle tour from Akureyri or Lake Mývatn, calling at Goðafoss, Dettifoss, Ásbyrgi and Húsavík.
A local guide drives the loop in an air-conditioned vehicle, with pick-up and drop-off included; guests can instead meet the group at Hotel Kea, Hof or the Brynja ice cream shop in Akureyri. The route takes in Goðafoss, photo stops around Lake Mývatn, Dettifoss and Selfoss in Vatnajökull National Park, the Jökulsárgljúfur canyon, the Hljóðaklettar echo cliffs, Ásbyrgi, the Tjörnes cliffs where puffins nest in summer, and the town of Húsavík.
Food and drink are not included, and entry to the GeoSea sea baths in Húsavík is an optional add-on paid separately. The minimum age is 3; the tour is not wheelchair or stroller accessible, infant seats are unavailable and infants may not travel on a lap.
